Domestic assistants – Sairam Villa26-06-20
Are you caring and compassionate? If so, our skilled and dedicated team need you!
Sairam Villa is a very special place, a state-of-the-art, purpose-built care home in Harrow. Focusing mainly, but not exclusively, on the Asian community, the home caters to service users who require nursing care, suffer from mental health issues such as dementia, or who need end-of-life care. The home has strong links with the local community and is a vegetarian home, catering from the morning cup of chai, to the daal and roti in the evening.
To keep our friendly home a happy and bright place to be, we are seeking two domestic assistants, one full time and one bank. We need warm-hearted, enthusiastic and committed individuals to help us deliver the type of caring and stimulating environment you’d want your own relatives to have.
When you join us as a domestic assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in the success of our lovely care home. You will be making sure the residents’ bedrooms and communal areas, e.g. corridors, lounges, toilets and storage areas are maintained in a comfortable and hygienic condition. We will ensure you are trained in infection control, how to use the equipment and any cleaning chemicals necessary, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
You’ll be a good team player who takes pride in your work, and be happy to go the extra mile helping to maintain the warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents.
Experience of working in a care setting is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
We have two positions available, one full time post, and one bank to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, so the hours and days you work will vary.
Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
