Healthcare Assistant – Mabbs Hall


Hours: 36 per week

Pay: £9 per hour

Mabbs Hall Care Home is situated in the centre of Mildenhall, ensuring it’s easy to get to and has strong links with the community. We provide nursing care for 29 residents, mostly in single rooms but we also have two double rooms so couples can stay together. Our landscaped garden compliments the friendly home with seating areas and raised flower beds, and wildlife, including roe deer and squirrels, are regular visitors to our garden. Our professional and supportive team make this a lovely place to live and work.

Job Overview:

To keep our friendly home running smoothly, we are seeking a carer to work 36 hours per week with our day shift. We need warm-hearted, enthusiastic and committed individuals to help us deliver the type of care you’d want your own relatives to have.

With a flexible and dynamic approach to providing person centred care, you‘ll be  required to assist with personal care, and give support as defined in the resident’s care plan, to ensure the lives of our residents are happy, healthy and comfortable.

Your role will be to ensure the general well-being of our residents, promoting their independence, choice and dignity by delivering the highest standards of care. You will help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing, supporting people who need help at meal times, and by taking part in social activities with residents, both individually and as part of a group.

Excellent communication skills are required, as is the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team. Always giving support to our residents and maintaining their dignity and privacy, the whole team strive to provide a happy, stimulating and stable environment.

Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.

Experience Required:

  • Update DBS check / willing to undergo a DBS check
  • Minimum of a year’s experience in a care home
