Orchid care Home has been featured in the Take a Break Magazine with a two page spread on two of our Residents that we sadly lost last year
At this point we would like to say a very big ‘Thank you’ to everyone who helped to make this week such a great success,
Our Chef Sam, who spoiled us with yummy cakes.
‘Miss Annie’ who stood in for ‘The Land Girls’ with very short notice
Our Training Officer Jeannie, who offered extra Dignity training sessions
The Leisure and Lifestyle team, who organised all activities
The Vicar Chris for his moving speech
Our Manager Mark, who supported us and made it possible, and all our Care staff helping in many ways.
Last but not least thank you to our Visitors and Residents, who made this a week to remember!
Thank You all!
Our Digni-Tea Party was in full swing with “Miss Annie’s” wonderful singing. She entertained us in the style of the 40s and 50s and finished with an old time sing along.
The Residents were thrilled, you could hear them singing and humming and some had to get up to have a little dance.
Thank you, Annie, we enjoyed your entertainment thoroughly!
After the Vicar Chris’ gave his very moving speech, our Manager Mark Yon then assembled “Birchy Hill’s Dignity Champions” to renew their pledge to promote awareness of the 10 Dignity Do’s.
There were 7 new Dignity Champions then announced and they received their badges and certificates.
All of them were recognised by the Management team to continuously promote values and attitudes regarding dignity that have the potential to transform lives.
Well done to everyone from all at Angel Care
