Birchy Hill – Events in May
06-10-21Happy International Nurses’ Day 2021 in Birchy Hill
We celebrated our nurses in style with gifts, awards, a nice cake, and a lovely buffet lunch. Speeches, a poem, reminiscing, and two Victorian nurses were also on the menu.
Spanish Themed Day
Residents at Birchy Hill went to a holiday to Spain. In the morning they learned some Spanish words with Spanish impressions and music. We all had a delicious Spanish inspired lunch (with yummy Churros!); and the afternoon was full of dance and music.
Sports Day
Hip hip hooray! Congratulations to all winners of this year’s SPORTS DAY at Birchy Hill. They competed with other members of staff in ‘sack race’, ‘relay’, and ‘three legged race’. Spectators and Cheerleaders had a wonderful time finally being able to have a drink in the garden.
Musical entertainment
Musical entertainment has always a high attendance, it looks like everybody likes singing and dancing.
In the last day of May we’ve been blessed with a lovely warm, and sunny day.
Bank Holiday Monday was celebrated with a Piano Matinee. Lovely to see everyone in the garden.
