Musical entertainment at Birchy Hill
16-11-20“If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.” Albert Einstein.
Babies will stop crying when they hear their mother singing a lullaby. Lovers dedicate romantic songs to each other. Couples choose a special song for their first dance on the wedding day. Artists express their feelings, their vision about the world, through music.
People living with dementia might not remember many things but do remember the songs they used to sing and dance to.
Music is present in our lives from when we are born and it never leaves us.
Residents at Birchy Hill very much enjoyed listening to Mark Busell playing his keyboard, and the entertaining singers Nigel Reville and Steve Linn.
