Covid 19 – Recommencing visiting
13-07-20We thank you for your continued support and patience as we all move through the Covid 19 pandemic. Many things have been changing rapidly and we are all coming to terms with a new normal.
No doubt you may have heard in the media that the government is due to make an announcement about visiting in care homes. We have also heard various stories in the press, but as has previously happened throughout the pandemic, we have not yet been informed of anything officially.
It has taken a few days, or even weeks, from us hearing the announcements in the press (at the same time as everyone else) to the time our regulators issue any official guidance in relation to each local area.
It is important that we receive official guidance before making any changes to ensure we comply with any local requirements that may be imposed upon us. This will enable us to continue to operate within appropriate legislation and maintain our status as a ‘good’ rated care home. Once we have received the official guidance, we will then work out how it applies to our home individually. This will be a task for senior management so our care staff may not immediately know how to answer any queries you might have, so please bear with us.
We thank you in anticipation of your continued patience as things progress. Please be assured we will work as quickly as possible to enable visits to your loved one to be resumed in a safe manner.
