Newlands care home is in the heart of Salford and caters to service users who require nursing care or residential care. Most follow the Jewish faith and the home is licensed with the Beth-Din with the inclusion of Kosher meals. Our Resident Rabbi ensures all religious needs are supported. Newlands maintains very strong links to the Jewish community via the Jewish Federation, our Resident Rabbi, and the local Jewish day centre.
The convenient location of the home means that we have many local facilities close by, including Mandley Park for the nice walks and shopping in the nearby shopping centre. We maintain links with the local community, as this is very important to our service users. A good public transport network ensures all family and friends can visit often.
The home can care for 30 service users, all in single rooms with en suite toilets. The home has a variety of spaces for the service users to enjoy, including 3 lounges and a dining area. Our small garden, complimenting the home, has seating areas in both front and back.
The home is tastefully decorated, and the service users have had input into the décor. We truly feel the home is their home, and the service users direct the business accordingly.
Our qualified chefs meet regularly with the service users to develop and review the menus. All meals are prepared in-house from fresh produce, following the Kosher method, to ensure a high quality of food is maintained and a good dining experience is achieved. We feel meal times are a very important part of our day and understand that everyone is different, so we go to great lengths to ensure all needs and wishes are met. All special dietary requirements are able to be accommodated.
“Newlands is a home away from home and offers nursing and residential care in a family-friendly environment that encourages independence and a quality of life.…”
