Maintenance Person – Mabbs Hall12-05-21
Hours – 30 hours per week
Pay: £10 per hour
Mabbs Hall Care Home is situated in the centre of Mildenhall, so it’s easy to get to and has strong links with the community. We provide nursing care for 29 residents, mostly in single rooms but we also have two double rooms so couples can stay together.
To keep our beautiful and friendly home running smoothly, we need an experienced maintenance person to join us for 30 hours per week. Your tasks will include the following, so you must have a good knowledge of health and safety:
- Electrical and plumbing repairs
- Painting & decorating
- General DIY tasks within the care home
- Maintaining the home’s gardens
- Gutter cleaning and drainage repairs
- General building repairs
- Moving furniture around within the care home.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults, successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure at their own cost.

Mabbs Hall Care Home is situated in the centre of Mildenhall, ensuring it’s easy to get to and has strong links with the community. We provide nursing care for 29 residents, mostly in single rooms but we also have two double rooms so couples can stay together.
To keep our friendly home running smoothly, we are seeking 2 carers with experience of working in a care home to work full time days or full time nights. We need warm-hearted, enthusiastic and committed individuals to help us deliver the type of care you’d want your own relatives to have.
Experience is valuable, but not essential. We are looking for genuine, caring and hard-working people who really want to make a positive difference to the lives of our residents. We will provide you with your uniform, and the support and training you need, including induction, the Care Certificate and ongoing development.
With a flexible and dynamic approach to providing person centred care, you‘ll be working with our lovely teams to ensure the lives of our residents are happy, healthy and comfortable.
Your role will be to ensure the general well-being of our residents, promoting their independence, choice and dignity by delivering the highest standards of care. You will help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing, supporting people who need help at meal times or at night time, and by taking part in social activities with residents, both individually and as part of a group.
