Activities Coordinator – Mabbs Hall Care Home

Mabbs Hall Care Home is situated in the centre of Mildenhall, so it’s easy to get to and has strong links with the community. We provide nursing care for 29 residents, mostly in single rooms but we also have two double rooms so couples can stay together.

Role:

To keep our friendly home a happy and bright place to be, we are seeking an activity assistant with experience of working in a care home, to join our team for 30 hours per week. This is a fun and varied position and we need a warm-hearted, enthusiastic and committed individual to help us deliver the type of caring and stimulating environment you’d want your own relatives to have.

You will need to be creative and confident, with positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people, plus great organisational and IT skills.

Activities are an important part of life for our residents so we want to ensure the events we plan are person-centred, interesting and fun. Your role will include devising and implementing meaningful occupational therapies, helping our residents retain a sense of purpose and self-worth, bringing joy to their lives in an environment of safety, trust and respect.

Activities may include crafting, board games, puzzles, gardening, reminiscence therapy. You will need to liaise with our residents to take account of their ideas and requests, and contact providers for music sessions, pet therapy, etc.

Excellent communication skills are required and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team. Always giving support to our residents and maintaining their dignity and privacy, the whole team strive to provide a happy, stimulating and stable environment.

Registered Nurse – Bank – Mabbs Hall Care Home

Pay: £18 -£19 per hour

Hours: This is a Bank position initially, to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, so the hours and days you work will vary.

Mabbs Hall Care Home is situated in the centre of Mildenhall, so it’s easy to get to and has strong links with the community. We provide nursing care for 29 residents, and they are supported by our skilled and dedicated teams to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible.
Role:
To keep our residents happy, safe and healthy, we need a registered nurse with experience of working in a care home to join our bank initially, but the role may develop to a regular position. This bank position is to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, so the hours and days you work will vary.
We need caring and compassionate individuals to help us deliver the type of care you’d want your own relatives to have. Applicants must already be based in the UK.
You‘ll be responsible for developing care plans, administering medication and generally ensuring the safety and welfare of all our residents. Promoting best practice within the team to maintain our high standards of care, and maintaining an oversight of all recording, you will also supervise team members to ensure effective team working. You may also be involved with induction, mentoring and training staff as directed. Along with all of the day to day tasks there will be the requirement to participate in quality assurance audits.
You must have a valid NMC PIN, and all appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults, so successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure at their own cost.

Care Assistants – Days or Nights – Mabbs Hall Care Home

Hours: 36 hours per week

Pay: £9.50 per hour

Mabbs Hall Care Home is situated in the centre of Mildenhall, and we provide nursing care for 29 residents.

We need a care assistant to join our team for 36 hours per week, on our day shift or night shift. We want warm-hearted, enthusiastic and committed individuals to help us deliver the type of care you’d want your own relatives to have.

Experience is valuable, but not essential. We will provide you with the support and training you need, including induction, the Care Certificate and ongoing development.

Your role will be to ensure the general well-being of our residents, promoting their independence, choice and dignity by delivering the highest standards of care. You will help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing, supporting people who need help at meal times, and by taking part in social activities with residents, both individually and as part of a group.

Weekend Cook- Mabbs Hall Care Home

Pay: £11.50

Hours: 30 per week over 3 days- Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Mabbs Hall Care Home is situated in the centre of Mildenhall, so it’s easy to get to and has strong links with the community. We provide nursing care for 29 residents.

Role:

To keep our beautiful and friendly home running smoothly, we are looking for a cook to join us, for 30 hours per week- Friday, Saturday, Sunday. We need caring and compassionate people to help us provide the type of home environment you’d want your own relatives to have.

You will understand the importance of nutritious, varied and well-balanced meals, for our residents’ physical and mental well-being.

Ideally with catering experience in a care home or school, you will already hold a minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate. You will ensure a quality food service is provided, including managing the kitchen supplies, checking and maintaining kitchen equipment, and complying with the rules of Health and Safety at Work in relation to the kitchen and kitchen practice.
