29-10-21Care Home Week
On the 5th day of Care Home Week, we organised Reuniting Day.
Residents and their relatives enjoyed a classical music piano recital and were brought to the magical world of The Wizard of Oz by a group of staff and our manager, Mark.
Holy Communion Service
As Covid restrictions were eased, our residents had the first Holy Communion service, and we already have the dates for the church service on the upcoming months.
BBQ
Although a bit cloudy on the day, the traditional Summer BBQ was very much enjoyed by our residents. We had yummy food prepared by head chef Sam, wines, beers and mocktails, and musical entertainment performed by the singer, Nigel Revill.
OMi
Wayne from OMi delivered this useful and fun gadget, OM Interactive Sensory Projection System. The mobile Mobii is regularly used, involving our residents in activities with powerful sensory stimuli that motivates mental engagement, emotional participation, movement, social interaction, and last but not least, bringing lots of fun.
This is been made possible by our managing director, who we thank greatly.
A day at the beach
How to create a very enjoyable sensory day? By adding to the existing props, sun cream, real beach noises, and cold lemonade with fresh mint leaves.
