Mabbs Hall care home is in the Centre of Mildenhall, in the county of
Suffolk, and caters for service users who require nursing care; some of whom may have mental health issues. With our advantageous location in the centre of the town, we have strong links with the community, allowing the care home and Day centre to be an integrated part of the community.
The home can care for 29 service users, mostly in single rooms with en suite toilets. We also have two double rooms, so that, over the years, this facility has enabled married couples to stay together. The home has a variety of spaces for the service users to enjoy, including 2 lounges and a dining area. Our landscaped garden compliments the home with seating areas and raised flower beds that enable those who wish to continue their gardening hobby and interest. Roe deer and squirrels are amongst some of the regular visitors to our garden. One year, we had a duck and her ducklings take up residency in the garden.
Being in the centre of town, with a good car park and good local transport links ensures family and friends can visit often.
Regarding the recent report published by CQC: We do not feel that this is a fair refection of Mabbs Hall, we challenged the factual accuracy of this report as we don’t believe the CQC has taken our comments into account properly, especially in evidencing the positive points of the inspection. We are however, working hard to improve Mabbs Hall and we shared our own improvement plan with the CQC at the time of the inspection. We are continuing to develop and enhance Mabbs Hall, for the benefit of all interested parties.
