About Newlands

Newlands care home is in the heart of Salford and caters to service users who require nursing care or residential care. Most follow the Jewish faith and the home is licensed with the Beth-Din with the inclusion of Kosher meals. Our Resident Rabbi ensures all religious needs are supported. Newlands maintains very strong links to the Jewish community via the Jewish Federation, our Resident Rabbi, and the local Jewish day centre.

The convenient location of the home means that we have many local facilities close by, including Mandley Park for the nice walks and shopping in the nearby shopping centre. We maintain links with the local community, as this is very important to our service users. A good public transport network ensures all family and friends can visit often.
The home can care for 30 service users, all in single rooms with en suite toilets. The home has a variety of spaces for the service users to enjoy, including 3 lounges and a dining area. Our small garden, complimenting the home, has seating areas in both front and back.

The home is tastefully decorated, and the service users have had input into the décor. We truly feel the home is their home, and the service users direct the business accordingly.

Our qualified chefs meet regularly with the service users to develop and review the menus. All meals are prepared in-house from fresh produce, following the Kosher method, to ensure a high quality of food is maintained and a good dining experience is achieved. We feel meal times are a very important part of our day and understand that everyone is different, so we go to great lengths to ensure all needs and wishes are met. All special dietary requirements are able to be accommodated.

Why Choose Newlands

Our highly trained and dedicated Care team consist of a Manager, who solely dedicates their time to Newlands Care Home, our full 24-hour nursing team, a head chef and supporting kitchen staff, a highly skilled care team, and maintenance and domestic teams. Our staff members are trained above the national guidelines for Care Assistants. An activity coordinator complements the team, as the relationship between taking part in activities and keeping healthy and happy is important with older people in care settings. The benefits of taking part and socialising with others can hugely improve their lives. Many of Newland activities revolve around the Jewish faith, so special Jewish festivals with the local community play a very active role in the home.

Newlands Care Home cares for service users who primarily require nursing care or residential care needs. We put a high importance on quality of life, so our activity coordinator directs and supports our service users in maintaining hobbies and interests wherever possible, ensuring each person’s day is enriched and that opinions and knowledge are valued.
