“THE JUMPING FLEAS”

That’s what Ukulele translates literally from the Hawaiian language to describe the rapid motion of the fingers in playing it, and we could actually see that as “MUSK” – the Milton Ukulele Strummers Klub, rocked Birchy Hill this Christmas time.

As many times before Residents, Visitors and Staff enjoyed the afternoon very much.

Thank you MUSK – we are looking forward to seeing you again in the New Year!

“GOOD BYE MARIE – WE WILL MISS YOU”

For the first time Birchy Hill offered a practical placement for a Student Nurse. Marie Drayton, Student Nurse who is in her second year at Bournemouth University, spent 3 months in Birchy Hill.

She showed a very professional and caring way in her work with the residents and in her training with her fellow colleagues.

On her last day, our Manager Mark Yon, took the opportunity to say “Thank you” and gave her a token of our appreciation.

Hopefully, we will see you again, Marie!

Good luck for the future from all at Angel Care and MNS Care PLC Marie

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE

To round up our Pre- Christmas celebrations we had the honour to be visited by “Reverend John Pawson and the retired reverend Chris”, both were from St Luke’s Church in Sway.

Reverend John’s tenor of the sermon was “God loves you”! Everybody was reminded on the true meaning of Christmas and was encouraged to take a minute to reflect on their lives and their families.

Thank you Reverend, we all appreciated the time you spent with us.
