Birchy Hill Birthdays

Birthday celebrations provide an opportunity to honour our residents and let them know they are appreciated and valued. We want them to feel special on their birthday, so they have their room decorated with balloons and Happy Birthday signs, Head Chef Sam bakes a cake for them and we all gather and sing Happy Birthday songs.

Happy Birthday to all!

The Queen’s birthday celebrations at Birchy Hill

It is the first time the Queen has celebrated her official birthday at Windsor Castle. As the traditional Trooping the Colour parade was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic, this day was marked with a unique ceremony performed by the Welsh Guard at Windsor Castle.

Residents at Birchy Hill celebrated by watching the BBC’s broadcast from Windsor Castle, and playing a game “What would do if you were the Queen for one day”, followed by a garden musical entertainment by the Land Girls and a high tea.
