DECEMBER 2017 HIGH FLYER AT BIRCHY HILL

Very Dedicated to her Job

Manju V.Poulose was awarded with the monthly Highflyer Award for December 2017.

She is not only very dedicated to her job as a Nurse at Birchy Hill but she is also very loyal and very flexible to the Service.

Manju’s work is much appreciated.

In the photograph you see her receiving the ‘Golden Wing’ from our Manager Mark Yon, after Gill Robinson, the Operations Director, awarded her with a certificate.

Congratulations Manju, well done!

WELCOMING THE NEW YEAR IN ………….

Some of our Residents here at Birchy Hill started the New Year with another gathering.

They welcomed 2018 with a lovely meal and some drinks.

The last Christmas crackers were opened and everyone enjoyed the end of the season, looking forward to whatever the new year might bring.

“SHOULD OLD ACQUAINTANCE BE FORGOT?..”

New Year’s Eve at Birchy Hill was full of memories and celebrations.

Each community of Residents had their own little party in their lounges.

They started with a wonderful buffet, they also had a collection of nice drinks and spent their time with each other until the clock struck 12 having nibbles, drinks and a selection of music.

Party hats were worn, stories were exchanged, and you could hear singing and laughter throughout the Home.

A very HAPPY NEW YEAR from all of us to all of you!

JUST LIKE A BIG FAMILY CHRISTMAS IN CEDARS

Residents and Guests enjoyed their Christmas dinner after having fun with the Christmas crackers, hats and crowns were proudly worn.

One of Cedars’ Residents told us that he felt like it was like being back with his family, back in the days… Thank you! That is a lovely compliment.

CHRISTMAS PRESENTS IN PINES

Getting up early to find your presents under the Christmas tree – many of the Residents in Pines found presents from their Families waiting to be opened, along with Marco’s help it was great fun to see what everybody had to unwrap.

The waiting was worthwile!
