Volunteers needed

The Health Secretary recently called for volunteers to help out with the current crisis for a very wide range of roles. There has been an overwhelming response to this call.

We also urgently need help in our care homes as many of our staff are on sick leave, or self isolating because a family member is ill, or just unable to work because they fall into the high risk category themselves.

We need volunteers with some care experience to join our teams and help us support the elderly and vulnerable people in our care homes.

Volunteers must be 18 or over, and fit and well with no symptoms. Unfortunately, you cannot volunteer in a home where you have a relative or friend who is a resident.

In the first instance, please contact the home where you wish to help.

Covid-19 update

Covid-19 is impacting the daily lives of everyone at present, and will continue to do so for some time yet. We have been given the valued task of looking after your loved ones and we have to ensure they are safe and well cared for. Unfortunately, at this point in time, that means excluding all visitors from our home, including friends and family. We understand this is particularly difficult for some, but we have to ensure the safety of our residents and our staff by minimising the potential spread of the virus. An outbreak in a care environment would be exceptionally serious.

This is a difficult time but we are trying to keep daily life as normal as possible for our residents. Phone calls or emails can help reduce worry, for families and for residents, and you can also skype, with the assistance of our staff. Please contact us to arrange skype calls. We will try and upload picture and short videos to this site, as and when we have time, so you can see what we are up to.

We would like to thank our residents and their families for their patience and understanding, and their support, so that our staff can continue to deliver their high levels of care in unprecedented circumstances.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the home.
