The celebrations at Birchy Hill continued the whole day for Mary and her Husband

I would like to say on behalf of the Company “Congratulations to you both”

..And celebrations

Mary and her Husband Hedley celebrated their 62^nd Wedding Anniversary at Birchy Hill.

The Residents and the Staff were very happy to be part of this occasion.

The happy couple spent the whole day together and celebrated with a romantic dinner, cake and a very big balloon.

We sadly had to say goodbye to a lovely young lady student who observed for 2 weeks of all the staff duties at Birchy Hill.

It was part of her work experience.

She would like to come back in the future and we would be more than happy if she did.

For September two colleagues were awarded the company’s ‘Golden Wing’:

Jeannie Wells – “Trainings Facilitator” received the Highflyer Award for being very supportive to new staff, also for her very warm welcoming to newcomers and for going above and beyond to introduce local amenities to new staff.

Jabin James – “Care Coordinator” received his SECOND Highflyer Award for his continued hard work and support, for remaining very loyal and dedicated to the Service and for ensuring that all new staff are welcomed.

Well done! Congratulations to both of you from everybody at Birchy Hill.

To celebrate “National Poetry Day” the Birchy Hill Residents were reading poems to each other.

They also listened to a collection of well-known poems, some as a memory from school days.

At the end, everybody was singing and in a very cheerful mood.
