WELL DONE RODA

You did it, Roda, you did it!

Rodalyn Rodriguez, Birchy Hill’s Clinical Lead, took part in the Race for Life in Bournemouth and managed to run 5km in just over 30 minutes. She also raised quite a nice amount of money from all her sponsors, which she is going to donate to the Cancer Research UK.

Well done, Roda, we are very proud of you!

SURPRISE, SUPRISE

Our Residents just enjoyed a lovely looking Black Forest Gateau when all the Gentlemen got surprised with a lovely little chocolaty Father’s Day gift.

Big smiles followed, and everyone liked the attention.
Happy Father’s Day!

FOOTBALL WORLD CUP 2018

On behalf of everyone in Birchy Hill I would like to send a very big Thank You to Debbie Quick – Gill Robinson’s PA.

She sent these pretty flags to all homes to use them for the World Cup decorations. I think, we used them quite well!

Our Resident and Football Enthusiast Joyce O watches every single game to make sure we can get the right results for our world cup charts.

Good luck to the English team!

HYTHE MARINA – HERE WE COME!!

Last Thursday we had another chance to be on board the “Alison MacGregor Motor Vessel”.

The Residents enjoyed the trip thoroughly, the weather and the atmosphere was great.

We left Hythe Marina at 6pm for 2 hours sailing around and when we arrived back to Birchy Hill everybody was happy, but very tired.

A very big Thank You to Solent Dolphin, Byron Oliver and all the Crew who make these wonderful trips possible!

WELCOME TO “THE LAND GIRLS”

First off all the Residents in Birchy Hill watched Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Parade and then Trooping the Colour on television.

Then the party really kicked off as ‘The Land Girls’ were singing, and dancing and it was hard for our Residents to stay in their seats.

There was clapping, tapping, singing, some put their hands – and even legs – into the air! It was excellent entertainment!

Everyone calmed down afterwards with a cold drink and a lovely High Tea.
Thank you ‘Land Girls’, we hope to see you soon again.
