A TOUR AROUND THE WORLD

After a very long break we were very happy to welcome the ‘Dancing Nuns’ back to Birchy Hill.

This time they took us with them to a tour around the world. We visited Scotland, Spain, Brazil and Russia just to name some of our destinations.

It was great entertainment and we were very grateful having you here.
A big Thank you to Brenda and Sharon!

LIFELONG LEARNING

Congratulations goes to Madalina Costita, who passed her Care Certificate in December 2018

Also too  Marco Antraca, who finished his Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Adult Social Care.

Well done both of you! We are proud to have you in our team!

DIGNI-TEA PARTY

As every year Birchy Hill’s Residents and Staff celebrated Dignity Day.

As a lovely tradition we gathered together for a “Digni-Tea Party” with a tasty cake, cut by our Resident Betty.

We were entertained by “Beatles Tunes” and last but not least Marco Monteiro, Senior Health Care Assistant, was honoured being a Dignity Champion.

He received his badge and had to promise to follow the 10 Dignity-Do’s.

Well done Marco, congratulations!

BRING THE OUTSIDE IN……………….

We do not often have snow in the South, but last week we had enough to make some snow balls.

It was too cold and to slippery for our Residents to experience the snow outside, so we brought the snow balls in!

It was great fun for everybody touching or holding a massive snow ball.

It brought lots of laughter to everybody.
