MATINEE WITH CARYN MORANT

Friday morning entertainment par excellence delivered by Caryn Morant. Birchy Hill’s Residents and Guests were dancing and clapping their hands and joined in when Caryn started to sing tunes which brought back old-time memories.

After an hour of rhythm, the audience left thrilled by the happy music.

Thank you, Caryn Morant!

READY FOR THE WEDDING……..

On Saturday Morning there was hustle and bustle in the all the Units.

Everybody wanted to be dressed nicely for the big event.

Our Ladies wore the latest fashion hats and the Gentlemen did not want to be without a nice tie.

In our picture you can see one lovely example; Terrie was ready for the wedding celebrations and loved the idea to be ‘part’ of it.

INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY 2018

Every year the 12th May is a very special Day in Birchy Hill’s events calendar.

It is not only Florence Nightingale’s Birthday, but it is also International Nurses’ Day. A day internationally celebrated, to mark the contributions nurses make to society.

This year the International Council of Nurses (ICN) has chosen the theme “Nurses – A Voice to Lead – Health is a Human right” for International Nurses Day!

Our Nurses and Care Staff decided to wear nurses’ uniforms from different countries and ages.

NURSE’S TEA PARTY

As a token of appreciation Birchy Hill’s Nurses were spoiled with a little Tea Party and a lovely homemade cake

Our Manager Mark and Clinical Lead Rodalyn were presenting the cake, before everybody tucked in.

NO PAIN – NO GAIN

Before the Nurses could tuck into the lovely cake on International Nurses’ Day, they had to answer 13 Quiz Questions to show their knowledge, of course, this was not a problem at all.

Well done – we are proud of you!
