A SOUND OF MUSIC

Music was clearly noticeable on Friday afternoon at Birchy Hill, as Nigel Revill played his acoustic guitar and performed songs from the 1950’s and 1960’s along with a few well-chosen older tunes for a very grateful audience.

After an hour of singing, clapping and whistling our residents gave him a well-deserved applause.
Thank you, Nigel, we very much enjoyed your music!

NEW YORK, NEW YORK………..

Our Residents very much enjoyed an afternoon of seated exercises with Vitality Care. Equipped with bright pink glitter Top Hats, everyone was moving to the music of ‘New York, New York’.

Big balls were thrown and caught, the physically more abled Residents got up and started dancing with the instructor Shelley, whilst the others moved their hands in the air with pompoms (the cheerleader version).

Everybody had a great time. We can’t wait for another afternoon with Vitality Care.
Thank you, Shelley, we are looking forward to next time.

SEPTEMBER 2018 – HIGH FLYER

Radu Toma received the Highflyer Award for September 2018.

He is a very hard working Housekeeper and very thorough in his cleaning routine.

Radu is always ready to help and goes the extra mile, a man with good attention to detail.

Congratulations Radu, it is good to have you in our team!

EN GARDE!

Irene was very happy to see her Son bringing her fencing mask and jacket to reminisce the time when she was crossing the ‘epee’.

Veronica, one of our Health Care Assistants talked to her about her own fencing career – Nice memories to share.
