To celebrate “National Poetry Day” the Birchy Hill Residents were reading poems to each other.

They also listened to a collection of well-known poems, some as a memory from school days.

At the end, everybody was singing and in a very cheerful mood.

… that‘s what it’s all about! Residents, Relatives and the Staff were all hooked to Shelley’s engaging exercises and games.

There were balloons, beach balls, gym bands, bubbles and a lot of rhythmic tunes which made exercising a child’s play.

Residents and their friends and families spent their Saturday afternoon enjoying a yummy High Tea, prepared by our Head Chef Samantha, and lovely piano tunes played by Alastair Hume.

It was a great way to spend our time.

A big ‘Thank You’ goes to our Kitchen and the Pianist!

Birchy Hill’s Residents were singing, whistling, clapping hands, or tapping their feet.

Simon had a wonderful audience, who loved his singing and acting, not to forget the fast change of costumes.
