The first High Flyer Award for July 2018 went to our Team Leader Cherry bhe Bejer where she was awarded the Company’s ‘Golden Wing’ for her hard work, for being very proactive in ensuring all unit responsibilities are fulfilled, and for her good communication skills.
Cherry is also very flexible to the needs of the Service.
Congratulations from everybody in Birchy Hill! Well done, Cherry!
Our Night Health Care Assistant Alex Costtita received the second Highflyer Award for July 2018.
He is hard working, reliable and flexible to the needs of the Service.
He has good communication skills, and last, but not least, Alex showed a dramatic improvement in his performance.
Well done, Alex, we are very proud of you! Congratulations!
Our Chef Samantha Nash was preparing so many yummy cakes, cupcakes, scones, and sausage rolls for the Summer fete.
The guests loved the food and bought lots from Sam’s food stall.
Thank you very much!
But her piece de resistance was the ‘Guess the weight of the Cake’ creation, a Caribbean Beach Hut, sitting on an island in the Sea.
Even the velvety dough had the colours of the Sea.
Well done, Sam! And congratulations to the lucky winner!
MUSK played at Birchy Hill’s Annual Summer Fete
This year the weather was on our side
We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in the grounds of Birchy Hill Care Home.
Entertainment was provided by MUSK, the Milton Ukulele Strummers Klub, enchanting the audience with their uplifting music.
There were stalls and games, raffle and tombola, too.
Everybody was chatting and laughing, eating, or drinking a lovely glass of Pimms.
A very big Thank You to MUSK and to everyone who supported us to make this fund raising event such a great success.
Staff and Friends of Birchy Hill are hosting a Memory Walk for the Alzheimer’s Society on Saturday 4th August 2018.
We will start at Birchy Hill Care Home at 10 am, have a walk around Sway and will meet again at our starting point for some light refreshments afterwards.
You can be a part of it, either walking or sponsoring us.
